Woodcreek subdivision is what you will find when searching Wimberley for residential property, and it will will come up a great deal of the time. In reality there are three separate entities which share the subdivision title of Woodcreek. The City of Woodcreek is commonly believed to be a subdivision of Wimberley but in fact was incorporated in 1984. With a population around 1300 and some 700 homes, the City of Woodcreek is characterized by Quicksand Golf Course.
The golf course ambles through the middle of its 686 acres of land. Huge Oaks trees along with deer and beautiful hill country views line the golf course as well as a multitude of homes in every size, age and description. This golfing community attracts a lot of retirees as well as families with children drawn to its beauty and low key neighborhood feel. The entrance to the City of Woodcreek is located two miles north of Wimberley on RR 12 where it intersects the Winters Mill Parkway. Look for the flags.
Woodcreek North is a subdivision near Wimberley but is not a part of the City of Woodcreek. It is located off of Jacobs Well Rd. which can be accessed via RR 12 or RR 2325. Woodcreek North is not incorporated but does have the Woodcreek Property Owners Association which is a great source of information on Woodcreek North.
Wimberley Springs Community was once a part of Woodcreek North but has now gone its separate way with it’s own P.O.A. It is located about three miles west of Wimberley off FM 2325 . Because it was the last phase of the original Woodcreek subdivision it contains newer homes. The new property owners association have done a great job with improving the entryway and roads. Surrounded by hills and located right next to the new elementary school, Wimberley Springs Community has a lot to offer.
