Where is Barker Ranch at Shady Hollow?

Barker Ranch at Shady Hollow is located off Brodie Road at Gatling Gun Lane.  The easiest access to the neighborhood from Downtown Austin is from MoPac to Slaughter Lane east, then turn right on Brodie Lane and right on Gatling Gun Lane.  Downtown Austin is about 15 miles north and takes about 25 minutes to get to.  Commuting north can be done from either MoPac of 35 as this neighborhood is right between the two major freeways giving you some options as you commute.

Barker Ranch at Shady Hollow is directly across Brodie Lane from one of Austin ISD’s Exemplary Elementary Schools, attracting a lot of young families to the neighborhood.  Bailey and Bowie, the middle and high school are also very good and are Recognized TEA schools.  Grocery shopping is close by just over a mile away at Randall’s and about 2.5 miles away at HEB.  If you need more than just groceries, most go north on Brodie Lane to William Cannon where you’ll find every stand alone national retailer like Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Babies R Us and Academy.
