Ann Marie Skunda found her true calling in the real estate field 13 years ago in Wimberley, Texas. Her previous position in finance helped prepare her for a successful real estate career. She enjoys getting to know her clients personally and the best thing about her job is helping people find that perfect home that will make them happy. Her warm and friendly personality along with her natural social nature have helped make her career in real estate enjoyable and successful.

Ann Marie has felt right at home in Wimberley since 1996. The best thing she ever did was to move to Texas in 1978. Ann Marie has been married to her husband for 36 years. She has two wonderful sons and two beautiful grandchildren that light up her world.

When not busy assisting clients with real estate, Ann Marie loves to garden, spend time relaxing on the back porch of her Hill Country home with her four dogs,or spending time with friends entertaining by the pool.


Ann Marie has been an essential part of my life for the past four years. It all started when I wanted to sell a large property on acreage and downsize to a smaller property with not so much land. Who knew that it would take more than a year to sell.

The entire time Ann Marie was by my side; encouraging me, not letting me give up, “it will sell”, she always said. And it did. She spent many hours finding me the right sized house on less acreage. I loved it. The new house was out in the country and had access to the Blanco. It was perfect. Only it wasn’t.

So, I decided to sell and called Ann Marie again. This time the house sold and she found me the house that I now call perfect. I found out that sometimes one can downsize too much and too fast.

All the time Ann Marie was warm, enthusiastic, optimistic, and working hard to find me the right house. She can certainly stand her ground when negotiating a contract.Something I just did not have time for. I appreciate her for all that she has done for me and my family.

Ann Marie is not only the best realtor but also, now, a very good friend.

I first met Ann Marie at the river, I was having a girls weekend and she came down there with her 4 dogs. My husband and I owned a lot in the same subdivision as Ann Marie so we both had river rights to the same river park. Ann Marie and my girlfriends of course proceeded to talk real estate and how much we all loved Wimberley. One of my friends actually bought a house from Ann Marie the next day.

Well since then there have been many real estate transactions that Ann Marie has helped me with. She helped my husband and me sell our home in Taylor. She found a builder here in Wimberley to build on our lot. Due to the sudden passing of my husband I needed to downsize from the home that we built. Ann Marie helped me find a lot in another subdivision where I proceeded to build a smaller home. After the home was completed I decided I did not want to move into it because I didn’t want to leave my present subdivision. I asked Ann Marie if she would sell the small home I just completed and she said no problem. She put it on the market one day and sold it the next day. I took my big house off the market.

A couple months later I bought a lot in my present subdivision from the same builder who built my big home. Upon completion of my home Ann Marie put my big house back on the market on a Friday and sold it on Sunday. My new house backs up to Ann Marie’s house…. we put a gate between our lots and the rest is history. ♥ Needless to say she is much more than my Realtor.

We happened to find her number online when we were driving around looking at houses in Wimberley. She immediately met us at one of her properties on a Sunday. Right away, I knew she would be our realtor. She was honest and genuine, and we felt such a connection with her. Ann Marie not only sold my house in Buda in just a couple months, she sold my mother-in-law’s home on 30 acres (which seemed like an impossible task for realtors they’d used in the past), and my great aunt’s home, also in Buda. I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE else. She is THAT good. She will fight for you every step of the way. Buying and selling has such ups and downs, and Ann Marie really minimized the stress simply because of her expertise and knowledge.

Not only is she a top notch realtor, handling 4 deals in our family, we still get to be friends. We know we can count on her if we need her, even now. There is no one else we would recommend to anyone needing a realtor.

Anne Marie Skunda skillfully ushered us through the sale of our unique property. Being an equestrian property with many different features it required her professional marketing skills which she applied artfully. Ann Marie made every aspect of our sale fun.

We bought an interim house with her help while building in Johnson City and are planning to list this house with her when our home is finished. We could say so many other wonderful things about Ann Marie but we decided to keep it brief.

We were referred to Ann Marie by my brother and sister-in-law who used her to find their home in Wimberley several years ago. They told me that she was very kind, personable and attentive to detail. They were correct. We were expecting a transfer from Houston to Central Texas within the year. I made at least seven trips to Wimberley to look at homes with Ann Marie. We arrived in Wimberley deciding to move here without ever seeing the town. Keller Williams was the first office we stopped into and that’s when we first met Ann Marie. We instantly her, and liked that she never pressured us into purchasing right away. We were unsure of the areas around town and she was always available for us. We finally decided to rent, until our home sold and she asked for nothing in return. Finally, having issues with the rent house that we had found on our own, she got us out and found another one for us. Again, getting nothing in return. Our house in Houston sold 6 months later. Ann Marie had informed other realtors what we were looking for and to keep an eye out. She got a call soon after, about one that was coming on the market.
