The Vineyard at Florence is a very upscale gated luxury estate community just outside Florence, Texas in Williamson County on 600 acres on FM 487. True to its name, there is a 30 acre vineyard and winery as well as true Tuscan style homes and a spa. Although there are many vineyards in Texas, The Vineyard at Florence was the first Texas residential winery. The Florence Independent School District serves the children living at The Vineyard at Florence. The High School has a Meat Science program where students learn to process meat and even run their own full service meat market which is open to the public. The Florence Livestock Booster Club helps support FFA (Future Farmers of America) and FHA activities in Florence as well as the Williamson County Livestock Show. For college, there is nearby Southwestern University in Georgetown as well as UT, ACC, St. Edward’s and others in nearby Austin, Texas.
