About Westgate Condos

The Westgate Condominium has been in Austin since 1964. Situated across Colorado St. from the Capital, many people in positions in, or related to, government have lived or spent time in the building over the years. The lobby is refined and reflective of the era in which it was designed.

Westgate Condos – Amenities

There is a large rooftop deck with sitting area and pool on top of the building. The walls are high around the pool but there are areas to let in a breeze and catch the views. There’s a large gym and 24/7 front desk attendant in the building. Because of when it was built, not all the units have laundry facilities. Some people have incorporated laundry facilities when remodeling units and there is a laundry facility in the building.

Westgate Condos – Location

The location is exceptional. The east side units have gorgeous views of the Capital. The grass is green all year and the building is lit up at night. Some of the west side units have lovely views of the hill country. Situated very near the top of Congress Avenue, there’s a Starbucks just down the street.

Westgate Condos – The Units

The units at the Westgate have large sliding glass door windows with Juliet balconies. They’re situated every seven feet or so in most of the units. They let in lots of light and a nice breeze when the weather is right. Kitchens were often separated in the units but many owners have opened them up.
