About Buda TX

Buda is one of the fastest growing communities in the Austin area. Buda is just outside of Austin and has managed to retain much of its small town qualities. Buda offers buyers a small town atmosphere with all of the conveniences of a large city nearby. The community of Buda is expanding on both sides of I-35 offering homes that vary greatly in landscapes, style and design, lot or acreage size and with all these variables, price range.

Buda Area Attractions

With a multitude of new home developments and a wide variety of retail and professional services locating to the area, Buda is developing into a sizable community that has the ability to offer residents many services and retail products that in turn attract more residents. Super stores and national chain stores provide most of what modern buyers are looking for in groceries, clothing and restaurants. For others, the historic district with local diners, antique and specialty shops provide a sense of home. Buda has public areas with parks, trails and pools and host regular yearly events that are very popular in the community.

Location and Schools

The city of Buda is located about 15 miles from Austin on I-35. Traveling south the downtown exit is on the right and will lead you to the major shopping area or turn right and follow the signs to the historic district. Students in the area attend school in the Hays Consolidated ISD. There are many neighborhood schools but with expanding growth and population boundaries often change. Contact Hays ISD for boundary and other school related information. Situated between Austin and San Marcos, students also have many options when trying to decide on a college or university located nearby.
