About Bee Cave TX

Bee Cave Texas is located near Highway 71, Bee Caves Road and RR 620. If you were driving through the area, it would be difficult to tell where Lakeway and Bee Cave separated. Parts of Falconhead subdivision are in the city of Bee Cave and parts are in Lakeway. The city got it name from the bees that lived in the banks of the creek that ran behind the first post office. The Village of Bee Cave officially came into being in 1987, after the City of Austin attempted to annex it.

What’s Near Bee Cave

Today, there is an explosion of growth around the small city of Bee Cave, Texas. The Hill Country Galleria shopping center and surrounding areas are full of just about any store you can imagine. There are home improvement stores, pet stores, furniture stores and lots of places to buy clothes. Restaurants are also in abundance. Lake Travis is near enough to own a boat, or rent one for the day. Golf is also all around. Falconhead, Lakeway, Spanish Oaks and Flintrock Falls to name a few.

Whether you want to live in a master planned community or own a few acres outside of a homeowner’s association, Bee Cave can accommodate you. It is far enough away from the bustling city of Austin to feel far away from the maddening crowd, but near enough to attend plays and concerts in the downtown area.
