About Tahitian Village
Tahitian Village is not a group of grass huts on a beautiful deserted Polynesian island, it is a wonderful platted residential subdivision nestled among the “lost pines” of Bastrop County Texas. Tahitian Village offers a scenic rolling landscape along the Colorado River just a few miles south and east of Historic Downtown Bastrop where if you look you can find forested lots, and sometimes vista views of the surrounding county, Colorado River, and the golf course.
Location of Tahitian Village
If you are traveling to the Bastrop area from from South Austin take Highway 71 Southwest through Del Valle, Cedar Creek and just a few miles outside of Bastrop on the Smithville side you will see the entry for Tahtiian Village on your right. From Houston or San Antonio you can come across on Interstate 10 and then come up Highway 71 through Columbus, La Grange, and Smithville and then turn left in to Tahitian Village before downtown Bastrop. From the I-35 Corridor you can come across to Highway 71 on the Toll Road near the Buda/Klye area, or down by San Marcos you can take Highway 80 to Highway 31 to cut across .

Tahitian Village has a very active homeowners association and there are covenants conditions and restrictions that are enforced. The roads in Tahitian Village are paved for the most part. BCWCID provides water and sewer services to most all of the lots. Electric service is provided by Bluebonnet Electric. Telephone service is installed at the roads and there is cable service. The school district is Bastrop ISD.
Things to do in or near Tahitian Village
If you are a golfer the Pine Forest Golf Course is in Tahitian Village along the banks of the Colorado River. If you enjoy nature there are hiking trails in the Lost Pines Nature Trails. If you enjoy kayaking you can put in or take out along the river in the Colorado River Refuge. Downtown Bastrop has great shopping and dining. For fishing there is Lake Bastrop.
