Long before Austin became “the music capital of the world,” it’s been “home” for Myra Zapata. She’s spent her whole life learning everything there is to know about what makes the city—and its people—tick. “I’ve never lived anywhere else, and I don’t want to. I love everything about this city.” Raised in East Austin, Myra has had the unique privilege of seeing her childhood community evolve into a hip, highly desirable area. While she’s always game to try one of the area’s many trendy new restaurants, she’s just as happy to secure a seat at one of her favorite local establishments, like El Azteca, Ciscos, or Joe’s Bakery (where she indulges a passion for crispy tacos).

When Myra isn’t busy making clients’ dreams come true, you can find her rooting on her sons Edward and Benicio at their many sporting events (football being a personal favorite). A self-proclaimed “health nut,” she leads an active lifestyle complete with workout sessions, weight lifting, and long runs on Town Lake. Her need for speed also translates to bicycling and kayaking, that is, when she’s not busy perfecting her “warrior pose” in yoga. When she’s not in motion, she still finds time to relax on the couch with a good book or take an evening stroll with her beloved dog, China, and nephew, Trae.

Myra is very knowledgeable of her job. I had the pleasure of working with Myra last year when she sold our house. My husband and I hired Myra as our realtor and we are both very pleased with her representation. Myra also was our realtor I highly recommend her services. She made our experience a pleasant one. Thanks Myra you are awesome!

I had the pleasure of having Myra as my realtor when I purchased my first home. After working with her, I can tell you that she is very knowledgeable, available, friendly, detailed and thorough. I am the type to have a thousand questions and to change my mind often. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Myra always took the time to answer every one of my questions and provided me with all the info I requested any time i changed my mind. . If you want someone that is down to earth and pays great attention to all her clients, I would highly recommend Myra as your realtor.
