Long before Austin became “the music capital of the world,” it’s been “home” for Myra Zapata. She’s spent her whole life learning everything there is to know about what makes the city—and its people—tick. “I’ve never lived anywhere else, and I don’t want to. I love everything about this city.” Raised in East Austin, Myra has had the unique privilege of seeing her childhood community evolve into a hip, highly desirable area. Myra currently lives in South Austin with her family. Myra is an East Austin and South Austin area expert. She loves that these areas are so close to the heart of downtown Austin and enjoys showing people around and telling them all that these areas offer. Myra says she “specializes in people not properties”, she believes every person has a unique reason for buying and selling and focuses on their current needs. Myra has a servants heart, her business is based on serving people and her community. Myra serves on the Austin Board of Realtors Growth and Development Policy Team and the Housing Issues Policy Team. She delivers for Meals on Wheels every Wednesday and support various local nonprofits. She is the founder of She Works Austin, a professional services company, that supports women owned businesses.

I had the pleasure of having Myra as my realtor when I purchased my first home. After working with her, I can tell you that she is very knowledgeable,I available, friendly, detailed and thorough. I am the type to have a thousand questions and to change my mind often. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Myra always took the time to answer every one of my questions and provided me with all the info I requested any time i changed my mind. . If you want someone that is down to earth and pays great attention to all her clients, I would highly recommend Myra as your realtor.

Myra Zapata sold one of my houses in Canyon Lake last year. I was very impressed with her being straightforward and honest on what I would be possibly receiving on my house. Her recommendation on improving the house brought me more than what I was asking for. Once again thank you very much will be using you in the near future.

Sold my first home and bought my second home with my husband and using Myra was an absolute privilege. She is my third and absolute favorite realtor because I knew I could trust her to ask the questions I didn’t think to ask. 6 months later in our new home and she still follows up with maintenance tips, homestead exemptions, property taxes, etc. She is professional and her job knowledge exceeds expectations.
Ps; I love your monthly newsletters! Keep them coming!!

Myra has been great to work with as we have prepared to relocate closer to our family. She helped us find some property where we plan to build our retirement home and most recently has helped us find rental housing to live in while we build our home. She is easy to reach, made things simple for us as we have worked on this from Ohio. She is very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods in Austin. I would highly recommend her as a real estate agent in the Austin area.
