HI! My name is Betty (Raetzsch) Saenz & I am a Native Texan & Texas REALTOR. I work with buyers & sellers specializing in residential, GREEN, Horse & Farm & Ranch properties. I have sold many green homes including a Peter Pfeiffer home made from ICFs (Insulated Concrete Forms), low VOC materials and sometimes including only rainwater harvesting for water (no city or well water). An experienced horseperson, I know horse properties & ranches.
I have taken the many courses and earned the GRI designation- Graduate REALTOR® Institute.
I also have the SRES® – Seniors Real Estate Specialist- designation to help with Seniors aged 50-plus. Many times I help children who’s parents have a need to move into an assisted living facility or nursing home. It is sad to sell the old family home and I understand. I also help people buy or sell in the great Active Adult communities like Sun City and others in Georgetown, Texas.
A Native Texan going back to the Republic of Texas- let me show you around Austin & my state. In many places in the state of Texas such as Hochheim, New Braunfels & Seguin. where there are historical markers and buildings of my family. Anton Pieper, was involved in Bulverde and Pieper Settlement. Another relative, Valentin Hoch built a stagecoach stop on the Indianola to Austin run.
On a personal note I enjoy organic gardening, xeriscaping, native plants, walking in beautiful parks, ranches and greenbelt spaces; riding horses; time with my children & grandchildren; reading; bargain shopping; going to Whole Foods, Central Market and Farmer’s Markets, drinking Kombucha; traveling; enjoying life in Texas and the beautiful Hill Country.
I am interested and involved in water conservation and water use planning; I am Commissioner Place 6 on the Leander Planning and Zoning Commission. We have so many people moving to Texas and Austin, I believe we need to plan for the growth so it is done well and not haphazardly.
What My Clients Have to Say About Me
I have been working with Betty since the spring of 2011 when I was still living in WA state planning to move to TX. Betty is knowledgeable, dedicated, hard working and she is committed to serving all her clients. She went above and beyond what a realtor normally would to help me in the purchase of my current home. She does not cut corners when it comes to the expenses required in the selling of a home either! I am now down-sizing and trying to move closer to my family who lives in Austin so I listed my home with her. Whether it sells this late in the season or I need to try again in the spring, I will definitely list it with Betty who I trust implicitly to serve my needs and interests. I believe her to have the highest caliber of honesty and integrity and she is certainly a credit to the real estate field so I have no reservations in recommending her to anyone seeking to buy or sell a home.
IM Linda H & would like to say some great things on behalf of Betty Saenz…She & Bill Hobgood put together some of the most beautiful photos of our home… She is working with us on selling our home in Leander: 604 Washington Square Drive..She has been right there for us on every turn as my husband had a short window of moving & relocating to North Carolina to start a new job….She came over & helped me stage the house for showing which turned out great…everyone just loved the house & we had a contract in about a week…She’s the best..If you want things done right & in a timely manor call for Betty Saenz…
Betty Saenz was very helpful during the closing process. She was available to answer any questions and made sure that all aspects of the sale were addressed.
I contacted Betty Saenz when I first started to look at homes to buy. She was a complete pleasure to work with. My needs in a home were not that easy. I had a very tight restriction on what I could afford and needed to stay inside certain school districts for my kids. I was kind of picky and could only view properties after work hours. Betty was VERY accommodating, always had a smile and a reassuring way about her even when I had to “show” my wife a few times from Florida. We visited what seemed like dozens of homes and when I found one that “fit the bill” she showed the home several times so that I could walk my wife and Daughter through the home. I can say this about Betty. If I ever want to buy another home or property, she is the only one I will contact. With her I know, she is honest, Forthcoming and I trust her implicitly in any dealings that may come our way. She was there from the very start until and beyond move in day. From all the horror stories I hear from my friends about buying homes, I guess I lucked out to find the BEST in the business … here in Austin or anywhere else for that matter!!
SincerelyLawrence D. M
Betty is a real go getter, so don’t be fooled by her sweet disposition. She drives long distances, attends extra meetings, sits in traffic, has the patience of a saint, solves problems at a click of a mouse, or phone, climbs rickety stairs to take photos of attics, like a professional photo journalist, and can be your eyes and ears, if your buying a home over the internet. She can ferret out any Historical Home, and she knows things, other realtors don’t. If you want top quality in a realtor, she’s worth every cent. Will definitely use her services again.
