My husband and I were looking for a second home in Austin. We wanted something we could renovate in a nice, central neighborhood that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Impossible in Austin, you are thinking. Annie called us on a Wednesday, and said you better get up here now, because if this is real it is perfect. We drove to Austin, looked at the house with her and negotiated the sale on Saturday. Annie took it from there and followed through with the details until the closing. I have worked with multiple realtors over the years so I can say, as an informed property owner, that Annie Bright is awesome! To be more specific: When I began my Austin home search I was referred to Annie. She took the time to get to know me, my needs, preferences and expectations on the first day we met. She began our first meeting with information about how she works, her ethical standards, practices, and her expectations so that we were clear with each other from the start.
I am very picky so Annie (bless her!) showed me about a zillion properties searching for the perfect house for me. She was relentless in finding new things for me to check out. At one point, she called to tell me that a contract had fallen through on a house I had bid on earlier in my search and they would now consider my bid. As it turned out, the seller’s agent was difficult to work with and did not support his client well, but Annie’s energy and tenacity persevered at each step through the process. In the end I successfully purchased the home and the sellers (an elderly artist and her grown children) thanked Annie for her efforts to move the process through to completion in a fair and equitable manner. Not only did Annie take care of me, she also made sure that the seller was handled professionally.
Annie doesn’t end her customer service after you get the keys to the new front door; she followed up with me to make sure I had not forgotten about filing for property tax exemptions, the next year! She is a wealth of knowledge; she knows the Austin area like the back of her hand; she has an in-depth knowledge of the city’s infrastructure; and is just a call or email away to answer questions. On top of all that, Annie has a personality as big as the Lone Star State! She’s a hoot and a holler, and a great realtor!
