About Cat Mountain
Cat Mountain is west of Mesa Drive and north of FM 2222, south of Far West Blvd. and east of Loop 360. It’s considered close in by today’s standards. Cat Mountain is conveniently located between Loop 360 and Mopac and makes this neighborhood convenient to downtown as well as the offices located along Loop 360. Northwest Hills is just to the north.
Cat Mountain Homes
Homes in Cat Mountain are all custom designs because the rugged terrain makes it necessary to design houses to fit the individual and unique lots. Many of these homes have spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country to the west. Some have views of Lake Austin. Cat Mountain homes were built beginning in the 1970s and a few are still being constructed today. Lots are tough to come by.
Cat Mountain Amenities
Cat Mountain has a very good Homeowner’s Association that takes pride in its neighborhood. A pool, tennis courts, and playground are in the heart of Cat Mountain and are maintained by a full-time manager. Neighborhood cookouts and gatherings, birthday parties, and other events are held at the HOA clubhouse. Shopping is conveniently located on Far West Blvd about a mile away.
