Fountainwood in Georgetown is an “oldie but goodie” of custom homes. An established neighborhood, it’s the original to a string of sister communities—The Woods, Westlake of the Woods and Estates of Westlake. Homes sit on acre+ lots and are adorned with trees. Many of these homes have the traditional Texas style look of stone and big porches.
Where is Fountainwood?
Located west of Georgetown, head out Williams Drive and turn left on Jim Hogg Road. Fountainwood is the first entrance to the left, just look for the big water fountain. Located on the west side less than a mile or two from FM3405, access to Palmer/Ronald Reagan Boulevard is a short drive down FM3405. Palmer gives access to FM1431, US 183 and Mopac.
Close to Jim Hogg Park, a popular entrance point to access Lake Georgetown, wildlife abounds in this area. Jim Hogg Park is ran by the US Corps of Engineers. It has hiking trails and camping sites for the outdoor types. If you want to get away for the day, there is a park area with picnic tables and a boat ramp. When the weather permits and the lake is full of water the piers are afloat and lots of fishing takes place. If the piers are on dry land, people just fish off the shore.
