About Riverwalk Condos
The Riverwalk has lined the banks of Lady Bird Lake (formerly called Town Lake) since 1971. Just a few blocks east of Congress, it’s considered part of Travis Heights. Hmm… Travis Heights waterfront. That’s fairly interesting to think about it, isn’t it?
Riverwalk Unit Mix
There are almost 150 units at this 500 E Riverside address. Sizes run from efficiencies at 388SF to 3 bedrooms at 1600SF. Finish out really depends on the units. People have updated them over time. Some have views of the lake.
The community is gated and has some extra guests spots. The buildings are three stories tall. The complex has two pools and a boat ramp to Lady Bird Lake and canoe storage. Entrances are to the outdoors (vs. interior hallway), so even if you don’t have a hallway, you have access to the outdoors.
What isn’t Riverwalk close to? That is the question. Besides being right next to Joe’s Crab Shack, Riverwalk is a few blocks from the Congress Bridge. From there, go south to Downtown Austin. Or go north to all the SoCo Shopping District shops and restaurants. If you want something a little closer, Dominican Joe’s Coffee is right at Riverside and S. Congress. Grab a cup, walk across the street and hang out for dusk and watch Austin’s bat colony take flight.
