About Remington Condos
The Remington is just on the other side of Lamar from the official borders of Downtown Austin at 1200 Baylor St. It’s a great alternative to Downtown Austin condos. It’s an older building which is part of its charm. It’s got a classical feel to it: nice oak wood floors, high ceilings and crown molding.
Remington Floor Plans
Most of the units are two bedrooms; some are three. The floor plans are large. In a lot of the two bedroom plans, the master is large with a large bathroom suite. The second bedrooms, however, can be a shorted on light and size. Depending on the unit, you might feel it needs some updating. The bathrooms, for example, originally had gold-colored fixtures and some people don’t care for those these days.
Remington Units – Other details
Like with many of the older condos in Austin, there is a bit more storage incorporated into the unit. Perhaps a bigger coat closet, or a pantry or a built in for some books. There are also fireplaces. There are elevators in the building but not all units can avoid steps. If that’s an issue for you, please select your unit carefully.
Downtown Austin Area – Remington Condos
Location is divine. Just west of 12th and Lamar, it’s easy access to Whole Foods Market and all the restaurants and retail around Austin’s Market District. Head up Castle Hill and you’ll run into West Lynn and all its retail and restaurant as well.
