About Bel Air Condos
The Bel Air Condos were built in two phases. 83 units were completed between 2006 and 2007. You can tell that the developer used commercial-grade guidelines when building the property. These units feel solid.
The Bel Air Complex
The complex has a bit of a funky Floridian feel to its exterior. Units are painted white with fun accent colors. There’s access to the adjacent park which has a basketball court and picnic tables. There’s also a community picnic area at the Bel Air. With limited amenities, the HOA fees are fairly low. Some of the floor plans come with a 1-car garage, some with a 2-car garage.
What are the Bel Air units like?
Let’s be up front. If you don’t like concrete and industrial metal in your home, the Bel Air not for you. It is definitely the right place for many though. Floors are concrete, there are cinder block walls and some of the steel frame construction is visible. Additionally, the staircases are seemingly commercial metal staircases. These are fun and funky!
Where is the Bel Air Located?
Situated at 4801 S. Congress Ave, the Bel Air is adjacent to Battlebend Park. The Bel Air was part of a new wave of development along S. Congress. Because of land values and S. Congress being a transportation corridor, hip urban residential development moved south of Ben White Blvd. The Bel Air is right across the street from Hill’s Cafe, one Austin’s historic music venues/ burger joints.
