The Uplands is a gated community of custom homes and oversized lots located off of Highway 71 and Bee Caves (2244). Most of the homes in this area were built between 1997 and 2000 by seven different custom builders including John Seimererling, Stadler Homes, Epic and Drees, to name a few. This neighborhood is located in southwest Travis County in the Villages of Bee Cave with the zip code of 78738.
The neighborhood has direct access to Hwy 71 on one side of its property, Bee Caves on another and the 4,084 acre Barton Creek Habitat Preserve borders the rest of the land. This nature preserve protects wildlife in its natural state and is home to endangered species such as the golden cheek warbler. The HEB grocery store was conveniently built along Hwy 71 and right behind the Uplands. HEB’s clientele were continually driving through this peaceful neighborhood until HEB offered to make the Uplands a gated community, cutting off the traffic flow to non residents. Homes in the community are situated on large lots ranging in size from ½ acre to 3 acres and many offer their homeowners greenbelts or Hill Country views. These custom homes feature gourmet kitchens, backyard oasis’ which include outdoor kitchens, pools and spas, guest houses, media rooms, three- and four-car garages and more.
