Homestead is a beautiful community just south and west of Austin, Texas that is hilly and overlooks the Hill Country as well as the new Hill Country Galleria off of Highway 71. A deed restricted community, Homestead allows horses so it is considered an “equestrian community,” though not all residents have horses. There is a hike and bridle trail to hike and/or ride horses on.
Homestead, Bee Caves Schools
Children in Homestead attend the Lake Travis Independent School District or one of the many private schools in the area. At present, Bee Cave Elementary School, Lake Travis Middle School and Lake Travis High School are the feeder schools for the Homestead area. However, please check with Lake Travis ISD to verify since school boundaries may change.

Homestead has a great website under BeeCave Homestead which includes a plat map of the community, information about deed restrictions, community news, recycling information and more. The Hill Country Galleria provides numerous opportunities for great shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Lake Travis, Hamilton Pool, Krause Springs and more are nearby as well for the nature lover.
The Homestead neighborhood is located in Travis County south and west of Austin, Texas off of Hwy 71W and in between FM 620 and Hamilton Pool Road. Just turn south on Great Divide Drive and you will see the Homestead sign. Just to the east of Homestead is Spanish Oaks and the Spanish Oaks Golf Club.
