Zilker Park Christmas Tree:

This one-of-a-kind “tree” is actually one of Austin’s moontowers. It’s over 150 feet tall and with many streamers of lights coming down from it. Visitors can not only walk around the tree but also walk under it! The Tree Lighting Ceremony happens on November 29th at 6 pm. After that, the tree will be lit nightly through December 31st, 6 pm-12 am.

Capital Christmas Tree:

This popular Austin holiday tradition happens at the Capitol building. The evening, December 5th, starts off at 6 pm at the Capitol steps with a holiday sing-along led by KUTX personality John Aielli. At 7 pm the light show begins with the tree (and then happens every hour on the hour). Throughout the evening, Congress Avenue (downtown) will have various vendors and activities.
